Young Producers

Young Producers are the heart of Shout Out Loud. Their ideas, creativity and interests help to shape and steer the Shout Out Loud project.

This is a programme designed to support young people who are passionate about the role of heritage in society for everyone. Young Producers share their energy, experience and enthusiasm by volunteering their time to help more young people discover their place in England’s story.

Meet the Young Producers

Find out a bit more about some of our young producers here; who they are, why they are involved in Shout Out Loud, and what they have been up to as part of the programme.

Young Producers are at the heart of Shout Out Loud.

We believe anyone who gets involved in a Shout Out Loud project should have the opportunity to stay involved if they want to, once their project ends, so we invite participants aged 16+ to join the Young Producers.

We also hold a limited number of spaces for referral by youth workers, if they are working with, or know of, a young person who would benefit from this opportunity to develop their skills and experience, they can get in touch.

Everyone is unique, and so each Young Producer’s involvement suits their interests and needs to make sure that participating is enjoyable, relevant and manageable.

Our Young Producers have the opportunity to get in a range of projects, lockdowns and covid restrictions have not held us back! Over the past year, there have been digital meet-ups with the national Young Producer network, consultation opportunities on what’s important to young people; and virtual tours of English Heritage sites.

Over the next year, the Young Producers will be presenting on our YouTube Channel, creating content for our website, learning more about heritage-related careers, and continuing to make sure the project is going in the right direction. When we are allowed to welcome you back to sites, we hope to have more site visits and our next annual residential.
