Meet the Young Producers

I feel passionate about engaging more young people in the heritage sector. I have been lucky enough to be involved in a diverse range of tasks, including the evaluation, branding and social media.

I became involved in the Shout Out Loud programme to contribute to the maintaining and developing of our historical sites and our perceptions of our heritage.

My love of period dramas, historical films and musicals created a strong interest in the ways in which people engage with the past and the types of narratives that are being told.

I decided to get involved because heritage has been something I've always been interested in, but I know many of my peers don’t feel the same way, and I'd love to help remove some of the taboo around the topic!

I'm involved with Shout Out Loud because I want to develop my knowledge of heritage policy and communication, and the project is helping me better understand the industry and build a toolkit for effecting change.

I have always found history fascinating and been incredibly lucky to be surrounded by it growing up, so I wanted to give other young people the same opportunity to learn about their past, and to make it more accessible and relatable to everyone.
