Young Producer Residential 2024

At Kenilworth Castle we had an excellent guided tour by Visitor Assistant Sarah, who gave us an introduction to the site and the complicated relationship between Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley. Young Producer Dom led the group in a writing workshop, using archival material to explore creative responses and alternative methods of creating interpretation.

Staying in nearby Stratford-Upon-Avon, we were able to make the most of the local history by taking an alternative walking tour (at night for added spookiness), attend a production of Othello at the RSC theatre, and visit all three Shakespeare Birthplace Trust sites.

Where will the group go next? If you’re interested in finding out more, or applying to be a Young Producer, have a look at the hub here. Applications open in March 2025.
