Shout Out Loud is delivered by consortium of outstanding partners led by English Heritage and including the National Youth Theatre, Council for British Archaeology – Young Archaeologists’ Club, and Sound Connections, with special advisers BBC Children’s. Together we aim to support young people across England in exploring our past and sharing their stories.

Council for British Archaeology
The Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) is the only UK-wide club where 8-16 year olds can participate in real archaeology and discover why it matters. If you want to become a professional archaeologist in the future or just feel like taking up an amazing new hobby, YAC is the right place for you!
Our YAC members (over 2000) take part in all sorts of fantastic, hands-on activities, such as excavation, working with artefacts, visiting historical sites and undertaking experimental archaeology. We explore all eras of human history, such as the Romans, Vikings, Ancient Egyptians and Victorians. If you have an artistic streak, we also run lots of craft-based activities focused on archaeological periods and technology.
Our branches are run by over 500 dedicated volunteers and the network is coordinated by the Council for British Archaeology (CBA). The CBA is an independent charity, who brings together members, supporters and partners to give archaeology a voice and safeguard it for future generations.

National Youth Theatre of Great Britain
(NYT) is a world-leading youth arts charity. We have been centre stage for over 60 years, inspiring young people and audiences alike in the importance of live theatre. We give free and affordable opportunities, on stage, backstage & digitally, to young people aged 11-25 from diverse backgrounds from all corners of the country, enabling them to make positive, active choices about their education and future employment. We support inclusive practice, development of life skills, new behaviours and confidence so young people can participate independently in wider society. Participation in our creative, physical activity builds their physical and mental wellbeing and resilience. We have engaged over 150,000 young people since 1956 and reached a global audience of over 2 billion. Our work benefits each new generation of artists, creative leaders, and social and political game-changers in the public and private sectors.

Photoworks
Photoworks champions photography for everyone. Global in reach, we have been providing opportunities for artists and audiences since 1995. We don’t have a physical venue, but our online channels are always open. Our programme, which includes the Photoworks Festival – one of the UK’s longest-running photography festivals, brings new experiences to audiences and opens up new ways to encounter photography.
Photoworks has an outstanding record of inspiring young photographers. Our opportunities for young people are free and include workshops, exhibitions and events. We have extensive experience of connecting extraordinary artists with young people from diverse backgrounds, focusing on building creative knowledge and skills and empowering young people to find and amplify their voices through creativity. All our activity is artist-led, with emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and arts for all.
Photoworks is an Arts Award centre, with highly experienced Arts Award Advisers on our team offering awards at all levels to under-25s in photography, film and visual arts.
