TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The Promoters are: The English Heritage Trust (‘English Heritage’) of The Engine House, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EH and Photoworks, of 154-155 Edward Street, Brighton, BN2 0JG.
- These terms and conditions apply to the ‘Untold Heritage’ Open Photography Call (‘the open call’), running from 6pm 17 July 2020 (the ‘Opening Date’) until 11.59pm on the 13th September 2020 (the ‘Closing Date’).
- All photos received after the Closing Date may be shared or included in Untold Heritage materials, but are not eligible for award.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- The open call is open to residents of England aged 13 – 25, those under 18 can only enter with the explicit permission from an adult (aged 18 or over).
- Employees or contractors of English Heritage or Photoworks, or any person directly or indirectly involved in the running of the open call, or their direct family members are not eligible for the award.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this open call.
- By submitting a photo, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- To enter you must upload your photo in JPEG or PNG format, within the form on the England’s New Lenses section of the Shout Out Loud website (shoutoutloud.org.uk). You must also fill out all required information boxes and upload parental permission form if under 18.
- The selected top entries will be contacted via email to the email address provided.
- Entries submitted in any other way will not be accepted.
- Obscene, biased or inappropriate entries will not be accepted and English Heritage reserves the right to reject any entries for any reason at its sole discretion.
- Entries must not infringe the copyright of anyone else and entrants will hold English Heritage and Photoworks harmless from any claims in relation to their entry alleging that the entry infringes the personal or proprietary right of any other person.
- Entrants will maintain their moral and legal rights in the photo entries, but allow English Heritage, Shout Out Loud, and Photoworks to use, copy, modify, adapt and publicly display their entry.
- All entrants hereby license to English Heritage and Photoworks the use of their entry for display on any English Heritage owned, Photoworks owned, or third-party website or other media for publicity purposes.
- Up to 5 entries will be accepted per theme per person.
- English Heritage reserves the right to cancel or amend the open call at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control. Any changes will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoters.
- English Heritage and Photoworks are not responsible for inaccurate award details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this open call.
- The open call winners will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by English Heritage and Photoworks.
- The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The selected photographers will be notified by Friday 18th September 2020. If a selected photographer cannot be contacted or does not claim their award within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the award from the open call winner and pick a replacement open call winner.
- English Heritage and Photoworks reserve the right to substitute any award for one of equal or greater value.
- The awards are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The awards are not transferable.
- The open call and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to English Heritage and not to any other party – details and entrees will be shared with Photoworks, our Partner on this project. - English Heritage shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

Photoworks and English Heritage are delighted to be supporting creative youth talent through this project.
A selection of young photographers who submit the most insightful and creative responses to the Untold Heritage themes will be in with a chance of receiving a special opportunity or reward from both organisations.

Judges
- Work will be selected by a panel of young people, a professional photographer, Julia Bunnemann (Curator at Photoworks), Dominique Bouchard (Head of Learning and Interpretation at English Heritage), and young producers from English Heritage’s Shout Out Loud programme.
