Shout Out Loud and Photoworks are bringing together work from three exciting emerging artists—Sally Barton, Serena Burgis, and Yuxi Hou in a special exhibition at Stonehenge. Through photography, these artists explore the stories and connections that communities find in prehistoric stone circles, and how these ancient places resonate with young people today.
Opening 15 February 2025 and running until 7 September 2025, the exhibition reimagines heritage through a fresh lens, all while hosted at the world’s most famous stone circle, Stonehenge.
Although the exhibition is staged at this iconic site, the focus is on three lesser-known stone circle sites in English Heritage’s care —Arbor Low and Nine Ladies in Derbyshire, and Kingston Russell in Dorset. The artists challenge traditional views of these spaces, highlighting themes of identity and belonging in a changing world.
Part of Photoworks’ 30th anniversary programme, the exhibition celebrates photography as a way to rethink and reconnect with our shared past.
